Once everyone has their Locrian and Wolfherr tapes I will begin preorders for the next three tapes and hopefully one CD, all of which are going to press very soon. This next batch will be huge, and all Legions will receive their 3xCDR comp with anything they order ( or 3xCDR by itself if you don't order any of the new stuff ) .
This next batch will be where we really begin to make our mark, so I am sooo excited to announce our new releases. The packaging, the aesthetic, all levels raised. Stay tuned!

Legions
OK, things coming together quickly. Locrian tapes have all been shipped to US Legions as of today. Wolfherr tapes just showed up. Hand-made Legions version being assembled this weekend, and will begin shipping next week. International Legions will receive both Locrian and Wolfherr tapes in one package to save me a bit of dough. Standard Wolfherr version available in 2-3 weeks when art/inserts are done.

HSS and Blakk boxsets a constant priority I'm always working on. FINALLY received the last tracks for HSS comp this week. The race is on...
Also, hoping to have news on the first Deathsmile vinyl releases soon. Those still won't happen til later in 2010.

Deathsmile Legions
Hey all, after much thought, and many emails wanting to reserve upcoming releases, I have decided to start a small Deathsmile subscription service of sorts. The main reason behind this is that I would like Deathsmile to be a label that has a very minimal web presence, and is more about real analogue correspondence between all of us.
I enjoy doing the HSS blog, but for my label I want this to be something more tangible. Downloads and emails have there place, but I would much rather receive letters and packages from people, and develop a sense of community. I also truly believe that this is more in the spirit of the artists that we are working with... and where I'm at personally right now.
I am currently working on the first Deathsmile newsletter, and will be including it with the first Deathsmile Legions package. For now I will be taking a very small amount of subscriptions at $20, which pays for the first package. After that you will never be obligated to buy anything, but will have first crack at our stuff. All memberships will be numbered, and you'll always have the opportunity to get the corresponding numbers on each release. Here is what you can expect in the first package for your 20 bones. Package ships sometime in mid-January.

We will still have most our releases available on the web, especially from small labels we trade with and the bands themselves, but there will be some releases only available through our newsletter (shirts, patches, tapes, testpressings, zines). I have to be honest and tell you that I someday hope that we only sell our stuff through the mail. This is about a return to the days of zine scouring and tape trading that made me love underground music in the first place. I truly feel that you would be more excited to get a newsletter in the mail from us about new releases, instead of reading one more website during the day.
Also, this is not about money at all. I would be very happy to trade you a subscription for some of your records and tapes. I will post a list of things I'm looking for soon.
